But where it really stands out is in its ability to cover such great distances. When used for travel, this silent vehicle becomes quite simply magical, sublimating landscapes, changing encounters and giving meaning and scope to challenges. The France Bike Trips team is passionate about roaming and crossing large areas of Europe, and we have put together a series of "hand-crafted" road cycling itineraries that we hope will give you strong and unforgettable emotions.
Itinerary: the search for perfection
We design our road bike itineraries with one goal in mind: to create the perfect trip. Discover a whole region or cross it entirely, ride on small roads that are not very busy, pass through the most beautiful sites of a territory and go after the most beautiful climbs, the most stunning cols.
We provide you with a detailed "road book" of the itinerary on a day-to-day basis. Bear in mind that each day, you often have the choice between 2 or 3 routes of different level to go from one accommodation to another (in accordance with the detailed program of the tour). If you sign up as a group, you can each ride a different route while meeting at the same accommodation each evening.
Our trips are "hand-made"... We design our road bike itineraries with one goal in mind: to create the perfect trip.
Ride light
On all our road bike trips in France and abroad, we move your luggage from one accommodation to another by vehicle. You therefore have the opportunity to ride light (with or even without a daypack). Every evening, on your arrival, you will find your bag at the accommodation.
Cycling trips with support vehicle
Most of our road bike trips include a tour leader in a support vehicle. He or she will transport your luggage from one accommodation to another and is available to help you in case of physical or mechanical problems. A perfect picnic, prepared with fresh and quality products, will be available for you on the route.
These departures with support vehicle are offered on fixed dates and are confirmed with a minimum number of participants varying from 4 to 7 depending on the destination. Only pre-formed groups can go on a version with support vehicle on the date of their choice.
Self-guided trips
Some of our itinerant trips and all our centre-based tours are available in a self-guided version. You can start on the date of your choice, from 2 people.
Your luggage is transported from one accommodation to another BUT you do not benefit from a support vehicle during the day.

Gravel bike
A newcomer to the world of road cycling, the gravel bike is revolutionizing the activity! It will appeal to passionates of lost roads, wilderness enthusiasts and fast track lovers.
Gravel bikes have everything to please, a frame that remains in the spirit of the road bike but with wider tyres to be able to ride on more demanding terrain than just tarmac. We've designed gravel routes that will appeal to both backpackers eager to take the back road and mountain bikers wanting to ride differently and cover greater distances.
We are very attentive to the quality of the services provided by our tour leaders and guides, accommodation, meals and transfers, as well as to the "intrinsic" quality of the tour: itinerary, points of interest and difficulty.
In the description of each of our tours, we give you the details of what is included and not included in our prices. No unpleasant surprises or advertising effects with a price that hides unforeseen expenses or a less rosy reality. Unlike many of our colleagues, we have chosen not to apply registration fees (which can artificially lower the price of a tour).
